Prof.Dr.Gregory Dembowski
Gregory Dembowski was born in Moscow in 1955 in a family of architects.
In 1971, Gregory graduated from the Moscow Art School No. 2.
In 1978 he graduated from the Moscow Higher Art Institute. (Stroganov) (Today the Stroganov Academy of Art)
Until 1991, Gregory participated in many exhibitions and performed many artistic mosaics, murals and stained glass.
In 1991, he successfully participated in the auction of Soviet paintings in Chicago, USA, and at the contemporary art exhibition in Madrid.
Gregory Honored Artist of Russia, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Gregory is a professor at the International Academy of Architecture and has an international professional title – Doctor of Art.
In 2011, at the Russian State Museum in St. Petersburg, a personal exhibition of Gregory Dembowski’s “Hunting the Wolf” was held.
Several works of Gregory are in the collection of the Russian Museum.
The museum has published a catalog of this exhibition, also in English and German.
In 2013, a personal exhibition of paintings by Gregory Dembowski was held at the Russian Academy of Arts “Bending of the Line”.
In 2014, Gregory successfully participated in the Art-Miami art fair in the United States.
In 2015, the Haylschof Museum in Worms in Germany hosted a personal exhibition of paintings by Gregory Dembowski “The Bridge of Life”.
Gregory’s paintings were exhibited at the Russian Museum in Malaga, Spain, and at the Osthaus Museum in Hagen Germany.
The paintings are in the collections of the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, the Museum of Modern Art in Moscow, the Haylschof Museum in Worms, as well as in corporate and private collections.
